DeGrassi stars visit Whitby

Actress Amanda Steptoe, who plays the character Spike on the television series DeGrassi Junior High, will be at the Whitby Public Library, tomorrow, from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Steptoe will discuss the program, her character and answer questions.
Local author Ken Roberts, who co-wrote the novel Spike, will also be at the library. Roberts, who is chief librarian for Whitby, based his novel on characters from the TV show.
DeGrassi Junior High, winner of an International Emmy Award, is the most popular television series ever produced in Canada.
It is shown in more than 20 countries.
